ISI Thermal Imaging
Cameras
In 1997 ISI introduced the VISION line of thermal
imaging cameras to the fire service. In 1998, ISI
introduced the VISION 3, the first thermal imaging
camera to
utilize the BST thermal sensor by L3
Communications*. The ISI Surveyor thermal
imager is ISI's current imager in the BST
line of cameras.
With the introduction of the Amorphous Silicon
engine, ISI developed the ISI 3500 and ISI
2500 TICs. Lightweight, compact and highly
durable, the new TICs offer additional features
and accessories not available on previous
thermal imagers. The ISI 3500 offers temperature
colorization for greater definition of heat levels.
Today's thermal imagers have gone far beyond the "see
through smoke" application. TICs provide
firefighters with valuable, timesaving information
for rapid scene analysis including hidden fires, structural
degradation, hazardous environmental conditions and
spot temperatures.They help firefighters complete
their mission more efficiently, more safely
and a lot faster than anyone. Anywhere.
